Resting on the waters edge of the Pauanui Waterways and Tairua’s Harbour sits the strong lines, light tray roofing and charcoal brick veneer of the Rainbow Residence.

The design focus captures the surrounding water environment while ensuring privacy and protection from the prevailing east coast winds with the internal courtyard.

The extending double height space connects the lower level living to the upstairs sitting and bedrooms, light flooding both levels through the double height glazed windows.

Vertical dark timber accents transverse from exterior to interior and dark wood planking softens and grounds the bright, expansive interiors.
