Simple interconnecting dark timber and glass gables form a contemporary pavilion beach house.

Located on the waterways of Pauanui with Tairua harbour on its doorstep, glass provides the link between, and protection from, the prevailing elements.

Sloping interior ceilings, polished concrete floors and expanses of opening glass panels create volume and connection to the landscape.

With strong and robust materials of in-situ poured concrete with a wood grain texture and dark stained cedar, this home is pared back and timeless.
